Pokémon Go on Saturday is all about the Kanto Tour. The start of the in-game event, which is essentially reminiscent of the popular Go festivals, is scheduled for 9 a.m.

Here is all important info for the event.

A ticket is required to participate, which you can buy for 12 euros. With the virtual admission ticket, the Kanto tour is activated on your account – you then have twelve hours to take part in the hustle and bustle.

The event ends at 9 p.m. A number of rewards and special features await you at the event – the focus is on the monsters from the first generation, many Shinys are also there.

For example, complete the special research of the Kanto Tour to unlock a masterpiece research and thus the chance to encounter a Shiny Mew.

In special research, you will work with Professor Willow to learn more about the Pokémon from the Kanto region, hone your trainer skills, and look for clues about a Mysterious Pokémon.

Upon completing the special research, you will encounter a dazzling Ditto. In addition, you unlock the aforementioned masterpiece research.

For the first page alone you have to get the Platinum Kanto Medal. Then you have to reach level 40, catch 30 Pokémon of all types, spin 151 different PokéStops, cover 151 km and more. So it should take a few days for you to complete the task. At the end of this adventure, you will encounter a Shiny Mew.

In addition, ten collector challenges await you for the Kanto Tour in Pokémon Go. “Half of that collection is based on how you find and collect Pokémon during the event,” said Niantic.

How you complete the Collector Challenges depends on whether you have chosen the Red Edition or the Green Edition. If you choose the red edition, for example, all Pokémon in the red collector’s challenge will be attracted to smoke during the event. But in order to complete the green collector’s challenge, you have to trade with friends.

The Collector Challenges will be available in Pokémon Go until February 28th.

“Note that hatched Pokémon and Crypto-Pokémon rescued from Team GO Rocket do not count towards the collector’s challenge,” the developers comment.

Niantic also names a schedule for the event for the Kanto tour in Pokémon Go. The event is divided into five location-inspired blocks of hours, during which Pokémon from the corresponding collector’s challenge appear in the wild. There will be two hour blocks for each location during the event.

In the last two hours of the event, all Pokémon from the previous hours will appear. This is another opportunity to search for Pokémon that you previously missed.
