Pokemon Day 2023 was marked by the announcement of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC, but given the state the base game came out in, several fans say they don’t know they’ll dive back in.

In our Pokémon Scarlet and Violet review, Joel said the games were “challenging, both in terms of performance and visual fidelity.” He reported frequent crashes, lags and slowdowns, constant pop-ups, long loading times, and numerous glitches, all on an open world that isn’t impressive enough to account for these issues. Performance analysis confirmed this assessment, and Nintendo has tried (albeit slowly) to fix them with two performance-focused patches since release.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem like enough to entice players to get back into the game. Following the announcement, several fans took to social media to suggest that without a concrete fix to many of the issues plaguing the game , they are unlikely to venture into the DLC.

Rebekah Valentine, journalist at IGN he pointed (opens in a new tab) that Nintendo hasn’t shown any gameplay footage for the DLC, noting that we haven’t yet seen the hardware that will support the new content, or how it will relate to the 230 new Pokemon that will be introduced with him. All of this comes as performance and online functionality issues persist.

There are several months until these issues are resolved, but it’s hard to get excited about new content without seeing it, especially when these performance issues are a big part of why I bounced off Scarlet and Violet at launch. .

Of course, I don’t see any problem with pokemon dream.
