Included in the PS + membership subscription on PS5 and PS4 at no additional cost, the PlayStation Plus Video Pass is being tested in Poland for one year.

The new service PlayStation Plus Video Pass allows users to access more than two dozen films and TV series from Sony Pictures, with additional content added every three months, said Nick Maguire, vice president of global services, Sony Interactive Entertainment: “We want to see how the players will benefit from such a service. What titles do they watch, what are they interested in, how often do they use them. At this point, however, I can’t say if it will be created and what the testing process will look like for other markets, or what the future of the PlayStation Plus Video Pass will be after the testing period. For now, we are focusing only on the Polish market, on Polish players and what their reaction will be to this added advantage under the PS Plus program.”

He also added that the Japanese entertainment giant is carefully monitoring the popularity of the service before formalizing a more comprehensive and comprehensive launch: “We know very well that we have a large base of players in Poland who stand out for their engagement and activity on the network and social media. They also like to use VoD platforms. For us, this is the perfect combination, the perfect market, to introduce a test service as part of the PS Plus program and see what our major users think about it. Of course, I cannot share the exact data on the basis of which we chose Poland. The country meets all the criteria that are important to us.”
