Although The Game Awards is the most popular video game award ceremony, the reality is that it is not the only one. Many organizations and companies do theirs to celebrate and recognize the best that has left us each year. In fact, Sony and PlayStation have their own awards show, and to no one’s surprise, God of War: Ragnarök was the big winner at the award show.
On the PlayStation Blog, Sony announced the winners of its 2022 Best of Gaming Awards. Who was the GOTY winner? Unlike at The Game Awards 2022, here it was not ELDEN RING, but God of War: Ragnarök. Of course, on PlayStation they did not forget the GOTY winner, since he took second place.
God of War: Ragnarök was not enough to win the GOTY at the PlayStation awards. As it turns out, it also won 11 of the 15 categories like Best Use of the DualSense; Best New New Character, Best Graphic Display; Best Art Direction, Best Story and more. In fact, God of War: Ragnarök only missed out on the top prize in categories where it was impossible for it to participate.
