Blizzard decided to update Mythic in World of Warcraft with new modifiers and changing one of the most annoying. At this stage, the result of the work is very unsatisfactory.
For many years, Mythic was probably the most popular endgame in World of Warcraft. The race against time and the fight against mobs and mods for the best loot attracts players with its accessibility and the absence of the need to organize 20 people, as in the case of mythic raids.
With the Embers of Neltharion update, changes are coming to this activity. Season mods will disappear and be replaced by new ones in the standard pool. So far, this has not been appreciated by fans of the game.
New difficulties in Mythic need to be balanced
On the World of Warcraft test servers, you can now discover new mods that will improve the hours spent on Mythic. Unfortunately, the developers did not find a satisfactory effect for players..
- Blizzard decided to take one of the more boring raid mechanics and make life much harder for healers.
- The best proof of this is the evolution of explosives. They seem less, but at the same time they definitely have more health.
- Posts on Reddit show that players prefer to completely ignore hot balls and let them explode. After that, the healer is responsible for healing that massive damage.
Most annoying, however, has to be Discreet Tangled, which at random times slows players down by up to 50%.. In theory, this is not difficult, especially since you only have to walk a short distance and the roots that get tangled will break. The problems start when the slowdown occurs during mechanics that require quick dodges or when the tank is facing a large number of enemies.but it will almost stop.
So there is still a lot of work ahead of the developers. Of course, the new modifiers work in interesting ways, but only in an environment where there are no enemies.. The problem is that the new affixes are activated in combat, and with them a good number of deaths will not be difficult.
Embers of Neltharion is an update for World of Warcraft, scheduled for May 2023 (being tested). Players will be able to explore the Zaralek Cavern area and obtain powerful loot from Aberrus, the Shadow Crucible raid. There will also be a new dragon mount and a new underground party in Mythic Season 2.
