Pharaoh: A New Era will soon be enriched with an important feature, the absence of which has annoyed players. In the next update, the game will finally receive a minimap.

A remake of the iconic city builder from the late 1990s, Pharaoh: A New Era is currently enjoying mixed success on Steam. The launch, which took place less than a month ago, was relatively successful, but since then the game’s rating on Valve’s platform has dropped sharply: currently, only 62% of player reviews are positive.

The developers at Triskell Interactive have taken it upon themselves to start fixing the shortcomings players are complaining about. First on the agenda is the added an important, if seemingly trivial, feature: a mini-map.

upcoming patch

Today the developers released an announcement where they revealed an upcoming update, introducing the minimap. The developers state that they listen to the voice of the players and analyze every suggestion that comes their way.

The developers are currently working on improving the readability of the minimap. We learned that it will be interactive and when you click on a point, the camera will move to the corresponding area. Apparently something trivial, but it will certainly make the game easier for many players.

In addition to this navigation feature, the next update will improve some aspects of the game’s balance. Among other things, the developers announced the reduction of excess blessings, the possibility of opening trade routes or organizing festivals even when in debt.

An increase in the readability of the interface was also promised.which is currently the subject of frequent complaints from players.

For now the developers did not provide a specific release date for the update – you must first undergo the appropriate tests. However, they suggest that the release of the patch will likely only be a matter of weeks away. You can see the full list of changes here. Another update is also planned, which will bring support for ultrawide monitors.
