The current Path of Exile Sanctum league is coming to an end. At the beginning of April, the ARPG will launch several special events to end the league. The events will last several weeks and with them Sanctum closes.
Events begin with a new Ruthless with Gold event to be held between March 8 and April 4 for Ruthless mode. In this event, monsters and chests will drop gold coins which can be used to buy various items from vendors, while characters who reach certain levels can get special rewards such as pets, effects and armor packs.
For everyone else, there will be three weeks of solo “asynchronous group” events which will allow players to create a free private league of each week’s event type and then try to get the best time to win gifts. These events have some additional details regarding timing, modifiers, and other requirements, so interested players should read them for more information.
Another novelty is that it has been confirmed what will happen, for now, with Sanctum. Grinding Gear Games said the mechanic won’t be added to the game initially. The developers are tweaking it to make the mechanic less cumbersome and trying to make it a game feature in the future. They say it might happen in the next leagues, but the next one was almost ruled out, 3.21
