An auction in Dubai recently concluded and saw a private license plate sell for a record amount. The plaque, which simply features the letter and number, P 7, ended up being sold to an anonymous bidder for a staggering £12million.
As reported by Top Gear, the deal is a world record and surpasses the previous record which saw the plate with just 1 on it sell for just over £11million in 2008.
The dish was also sold at an auction to benefit the UAE-based food charity, One Billion Meals Endowment, so hopefully the money will eventually go to something beneficial down the road. .
