The Overwatch 2 mid-season patch notes are here for the final update, and there are plenty of hero changes in all three tank, damage, and healer roles for Blizzard’s multiplayer game. . There are also new weekly challenges, the addition of a chaotic competitive mode, new OWL skins, and the arrival of their highly anticipated first animated collaboration as Overwatch 2 Season 3 progresses.

The Overwatch 2 One Punch Man collaboration is now live, with live challenges through April 6 for free rewards, including a legendary soldier: Skin 76, Mumen Rider. There are also Legendary Packs in the store for other characters, allowing you to re-imagine Doomfist as the titular Saitama, Genji as his demon disciple Genos, and Kiriko as the Terrible Tornado, Tatsumaki.

Competitive Mystery Heroes is one of the scariest three-word combinations I’ve ever heard, but it’s real, and the first season begins March 14. That’s right, now you’ll be able to play Overwatch 2’s most chaotic mode in ranked format. , following recent format balancing changes at the start of Season 3 that ensure you will only have three single-role heroes on your team at a time.

As for hero balance, Bap’s Immortality Field has a delicious buff, which will now keep heroes at 25% health instead of 10%. Roadhog’s hook has a slightly lower cooldown and will now be applied slightly differently for clarity. A buff from Zarya has her bubbles stacking more often, while Ashe’s BOB will now favor firing at targets she is currently attacking.

There are also a few small nerfs here, most notably Sojourn’s torso hitbox being enlarged by 20% to compensate for her default prone stance, which should make her much easier to hit. Orisa’s ultimate, Terra Surge, will now pause if hacked, and Wrecking Ball mines now take slightly longer to deploy and arm, although there is a new setting welcome to adjust your aiming sensitivity independently in ball shape.
