One of the beauties of Overwatch 2 is the ability to switch between heroes on the fly to find the best team composition that brings out the best in your team while destroying the opponent’s plans. The DPS class can completely change the fortunes of a game by transporting a team and decimating enemies. Here’s our full list of hero tier damage in Overwatch 2.

The best DPS character in Overwatch 2

S-Rank

  • Ashe, Cassidy, Sojourn, Soldier:76, Widowmaker

Overwatch 2 scans are incredibly powerful in the DPS class right now. All of these characters are deadly, especially when boosted by Mercy’s damage. The best damage options are Sojourn and Widowmaker, which have the movement and damage to block a lot of teams if they aren’t focused.

Junkrat nerfed his mine a bit, knocking him off the top of the pyramid, but he still does so much easy damage that it’s a good damage option. Tracer is the best DPS flanker in the game and one of the best options for getting heavy hit scans right now.

B-rank

Mei featured legendary skin

  • Genji, Hanzo, Mei, Segador

This group of Damage characters can have their uses, but if countered, you must instantly switch to another hero in that tier list. Genji and Reaper can split the back line of unaware or under-skilled enemies and Hanzo and Mei are good picks for now.

  • Stronghold, Echo, Pharah, Shadow, Symmetra, Torbjorn

This group is your take it or leave it hero. They’re decent in some situations, but they also have their downsides, either because they’re easy to counter or hard to get. Echo and Pharah will have issues with the strength of hit scans at the moment, and the other options are some of the easiest damage characters to counter. You might want to avoid these lower tier roster heroes for now.
