Ahead of the Game Developers Conference (GDC) to be held next week, NVIDIA has announced new developer games and plugins with DLSS 3.

The latest version of the AI-powered technology, Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS), is already supported by a large number of high-end games and applications, and has already been integrated into Unreal Engine, the one of the main game engines. Most popular. The company has officially launched the Frame Generator plugin, which makes it even easier for developers to adopt this technology.

“Since its introduction, neural graphics has revolutionized gaming with NVIDIA DLSS, and now we’re taking it to a new level,” said Matt Wuebbling, vice president of global GeForce marketing at NVIDIA. “PC gaming superfranchises like Diablo, Forza Horizon and the new red fall from Bethesda, raise the bar for image quality with stunning graphics, using DLSS to make gameplay silky smooth.”

Since its launch in 2018, NVIDIA DLSS has fueled the neural graphics revolution in PC gaming. Neural Graphs combines AI and graphics to create an accelerated rendering pipeline that continuously learns and improves. Instead of natively rendering every pixel in every frame, DLSS allows the game to render 1/8 of the pixels, then uses the power of AI and GeForce RTX Tensor Cores to reconstruct the rest of the pixels, dramatically increasing framerates while delivering crisp, high-quality images that rival native resolution.

Diablo IV, Forza Horizon 5, Redfall – DLSS 3 is in the biggest games and franchises

To date, over 270 games and applications use NVIDIA DLSS. DLSS 3, the latest version of this technology, is available in 28 games and has been adopted 7 times faster than DLSS 2 in the first six months.

Among the most anticipated games that will offer support for DLSS is Forza Horizon 5named the best open world racing game of all time by various media outlets and currently the highest rated racing game on OpenCritic. Forza Horizon 5which already supports triggering ray tracing effects, will be updated to DLSS 3 on March 28.

red fall, the highly anticipated cooperative open-world first-person shooter from Bethesda and Arkane Austin, the award-winning team behind Prey there Dishonored, will launch on May 2 with DLSS 3.

Diablo IVThe latest installment in the Diablo franchise, which features several of the best games of all time, will launch on June 6 with DLSS 3.
“Delivering smooth gameplay in Diablo IV is a top priority for Blizzard,” said Michael Bukowski, Technical Director. Diablo IV at Blizzard Entertainment. “We are excited about the high frame rate of Diablo IV when running on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40-series hardware with 3″ DLSS.

Additionally, other PC games that support NVIDIA DLSS have been announced, including Deceive Inc., Gripper, SMALLAND: surviving nature there THE FINALS. Those interested can check out the full list of 270 DLSS-enabled games and apps.

DLSS frame generation will be publicly available for GDC developers

NVIDIA will make DLSS Frame Generation plugins publicly available during GDC, allowing more developers to integrate frame rate boosting technology into their games and applications.

Access to DLSS Frame Generation will be available through NVIDIA Streamline, an open-source, multi-vendor framework that simplifies the integration of super-resolution technologies into 3D games and applications.

DLSS technology is constantly improved thanks to the continuous training it receives on the NVIDIA AI supercomputer. The public release will incorporate the latest DLSS improvements made earlier this year, including the following:

  • DLSS Frame Generation takes better advantage of game engine data, improving UI stability and image quality during fast motion.
  • DLSS Super Resolution enhances Ultra Performance Mode with greater stability, sharper details, and better overall image quality.
  • DLAA improves image quality, reduces ghost and improves edge smoothing in high contrast scenarios.

Unreal Engine 5.2 Integration: Adding DLSS 3 with Unreal Engine Games is easier than ever

NVIDIA and Epic have announced the integration of NVIDIA DLSS 3 into the popular game engine Unreal Engine (UE). Unreal Engine is a state-of-the-art, open, real-time 3D authoring tool that gives game developers and creators the freedom and control to deliver cutting-edge 3D content, interactive experiences, and immersive virtual worlds. The DLSS 3 plugin will make its debut in UE 5.2, making it easy for any developer to speed up the performance of their game or application.

“NVIDIA DLSS 3 offers truly impressive image rendering technology, and the Unreal Engine 5.2 plugin will give developers a great option to increase the quality and performance of their games,” said Nick Penwarden, vice president of game engineering at Epic.
