For many years we have been able to share screenshots taken from Xbox consoles directly to Twitter. But since yesterday this is no longer possible. The reason it was removed is that Twitter, led by Elon Musk, decided to charge businesses an “upfront fee” of $42,000 to access its API features, Windows Central reports.

Unfortunately, this also affects Xbox Game Bar on Windows 10 and 11, but not the Xbox app on smartphones. Apparently other companies are doing the same thing (removing sharing). At the moment, we don’t know anything about whether Nintendo or Sony will follow in their footsteps.

Although we understand that Twitter needs to make money, charging to share things on the social network can be a counterproductive way to do it, what do you think?
