twisted metal has been absent from the gaming scene for a decade now, but with a new TV series coming later this year, it also looks like the long-talked-about new PS5 and PS4 game Twisted Metal might just as well be coming to PSVR 2 and PC if a new job listing is anything to go by.

Jobs listing suggests Twisted Metal reboot could be coming to PSVR 2 and PC

A job posting for Firesprite Studios, the developer reportedly currently working on the Twisted Metal reboot, has surfaced suggesting a possible PSVR 2 mode or version for the game, as well as a PC version.

Firesprite is currently hiring a lead programmer for Physics: Multiplayer Action, which could directly reference the Twisted Metal reboot. The to-do list also seems to hint heavily at PSVR 2 support and a day-one PC release, with the to-do list stating that “experience developing games for VR would be helpful” and ” knowledge of a variety of gaming services like Steam and PSN’s ‘back-ends’ is important.

The same job listing also describes the game, stating that it will feature “genre-transcending gameplay combined around vehicular and on-foot combat”, which strongly lends support to the idea that it could be Twisted Metal. .

Early last year, VGC reported that Firesprite Studio had resumed development on a Twisted Metal reboot, but since that report, we haven’t heard from the game again. There has been no official announcement. or real conversation from the studio about whether this report is true.

The last game in the Twisted Metal series was also a reboot, released in 2012 exclusively for the PlayStation 3. The game received mostly positive reviews, but for unknown reasons Sony decided to stop making any more games in the series, maybe due to disappointing. sales.

In other racing and VR news, Gran Turismo 7 VR has received a new patch to prepare for the launch of PSVR 2, and we have a full list of PSVR games that are getting a PSVR 2 update.
