This week we’ll see the launch of the new PlayStation VR 2 and Sony is celebrating with the announcement of a new State of Play, which will take place this Thursday, February 23 at 1:00 PM PT / 3:00 PM CDMX and give us an in-depth look at Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, among others.

The rumors turned out to be true, as almost two weeks ago we announced that Sony would release a status report before the end of the month, as Jeff Grubb claimed at the time. Grubb also said that Sony is planning a later PlayStation showcase, which will arrive before the E3 season this summer.

The official PlayStation account has announced the new State of Play through a small video posted on their social networks, which gives us a small preview of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, of which we will see an extended preview in the broadcast. These clips show us a scene of the suicide squad during an encounter with Flash, who is under the control of the villainous Brainiac.

In its post, Sony also said that we will see five new PlayStation VR 2 games from partners, adding to those already announced for this PlayStation 5 device which will go on sale tomorrow, Wednesday, February 22, 2023. Finally, we know that we Take a look at new indie games and games from non-Sony studios in the new State of Play, which we can expect later on PlayStation 4 and PS5 consoles.

For now, that’s all we know about the new State of Play set to take place this Thursday, February 23 at 1:00 PM PT / 3:00 PM CDMX, but luckily we won’t have to wait long for it to air. Besides Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, we don’t know which PS4 and PlayStation 5 games we’ll see in the upcoming State of Play.
