New evidence has convinced fans that the rumor Nintendo Switch OLED inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom it is 100% real.

Nintendo has been known to release themed consoles based on big game releases, Zelda being a prime example, so it wouldn’t be surprising if The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom got one, and new evidence has fans excited.

Last week, the latest Nintendo Direct unveiled a new look at The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Additionally, Nintendo has also opened up the option to pre-purchase the game for Nintendo Switch and its recently introduced Collector’s Edition.

Although no Tears of the Kingdom pack has been announced for Nintendo Switch, players have noticed that some Collector’s Edition graphics are familiar.

In December 2022, images of an unannounced Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom themed OLED Nintendo Switch were leaked online.

The console sports gold Joy-Cons with custom green and white designs, a white dock with gold designs, and more white paint marks on the body of the console itself. Although compelling, the leak was treated as a rumor due to the lack of an official announcement from Nintendo.

However, the Tears of the Kingdom Collector’s Edition announcement made the leak even more compelling. The Collector’s Edition box features the same design elements seen on the leaked OLED Switch.

The overlapping circles from the main Collector’s Edition box also appear on the body of the console. The Collector’s Edition box symbol can also be found on the back of the TotK-themed OLED Switch Joy-Con.

Given that the Nintendo Switch OLED leaks were released months before Nintendo revealed The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Collector’s Edition, it seems unlikely that the photos were faked or altered, meaning the Leaked photos appear to most likely come from an official Kingdom OLED Switch Tears that has yet to be announced.
