The FLESH dismemberment system is a particular highlight, with players able to target specific weak spots and deal massive damage. This damage is reflected in the blood and guts that litter the alleys and mansions.
Ability cards are also highlighted in this expanded gameplay trailer, with players able to mix and match ability cards to tailor their build to each scenario.
Another highlight is the ground slam, which is particularly good at quickly taking down enemies that start to surround Dani.
Dead Island 2 has gone gold, which means the game is finally ready for distribution. The release date has been a long time coming, having been pushed back several times.
Interestingly, Dead Island 2 is the first game to feature Alexa commands.
