Mortal Kombat 12 List it won’t include Ellie from The Last of Us when the game launches later this year. Weird news to report, but that’s what creator Ed Boon had to say to fans who requested that Ellie be added as a guest wrestler.
Why won’t the Mortal Kombat 12 roster feature Ellie?
There’s no doubt that Ellie is capable of kicking ass and taking names, but Boon has a reason for not wanting to see her in Mortal Kombat 12. He just doesn’t want to see players kill him.

Boon is almost never serious, but he does reference the younger version of Ellie as seen in The Last of Us Part 1. In fact, the suggestion to add Ellie to Mortal Kombat 12 actually came in response to a tweet from Boon in which he said he agreed with all of Joel’s decisions during the Season 1 finale of HBO’s The Last of Us.
Boon previously revealed that he was a fan of the TV show and was excited to see the Mortal Kombat Easter egg.
As for Ellie, the 19-year-old from The Last of Us Part 2 as a guest character in Mortal Kombat 12 doesn’t seem like a bad idea.
