As PlayStation fans tuned in to State of Play yesterday, Warner Bros. Discovery casually gave up mortal combat 12 release date window. The company has confirmed that its long-awaited fighter will be released this year.

Mortal Kombat 12 release date window revealed in earnings call

Until yesterday, Mortal Kombat 12 was almost confirmed. We knew the game was in development, but there was speculation that NetherRealm would release Injustice 3 first. However, there were also rumors that WB Games would prioritize Mortal Kombat 12 due to the franchise’s popularity and business performance.

Well, now we have confirmation that the next NetherRealm game is Mortal Kombat 12 and it’s coming this year.

“There’s plenty more to come, including the highly anticipated Mortal Kombat 12 and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which are also launching this year with ambitious launch projections,” said the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, David Zaslav, to investors on an earnings call.

Yes that is correct. The Mortal Kombat 12 release window was revealed during an earnings call, the clip of which is available below.

Something tells me creator Ed Boon isn’t too excited right now.

Either way, expect Mortal Kombat 12 to be one of the biggest releases this fall.
