More characters will return to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass in the future

In this week’s flurry of news from the latest Nintendo Direct, something fans may have missed is that the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass DLC will add even more returning characters in the future.
For the first three waves, only new tracks were added. However, for round four, Nintendo announced that Birdo was on the way. Confirmation of even more characters has been confirmed in the Summary of the Nintendo Direct we posted, but it’s something that’s probably been overlooked. We should see at least two more additions to the roster later in 2023.
Round four of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass is slated for this spring. So far, Yoshi’s Island, a brand new track, has been announced.
The race has been a bit wild for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe lately. Some were definitely surprised that Nintendo decided to introduce the DLC for the game years after its initial release. The support didn’t stop there, as we even saw a major free update a few months ago that introduced a custom items feature.
