Great news for Lego fans: soon we are supposed to see the construction and survival game Minecraft in an incredibly chic Lego brick look. Because the Reddit user macio6 is currently working on a corresponding graphic mod, which should appear soon and shows the first pictures from the project.
Minecraft and Lego: a dream couple
The idea of marrying Minecraft and Lego actually seems long overdue – after all, the two have a lot in common. The numerous reactions to the mod preview are definitely enthusiastic.

There have been a few attempts in the past to integrate Lego textures in Minecraft. However, getting it right is a bigger challenge than you might think. User ElijahRayzorr writes:

For example, there is a difficulty in the Dimensions of Lego blocks. Unlike a Minecraft block, a classic 2×2 brick is not a cube. Which means that several Lego components have to be combined into one block for credible dimensions. The developer macio6 solves this, for example, with a 2×2 brick and two narrow slabs.
Slight unevenness in the surface should also ensure an even better look so that the Lego bricks look even more realistic.
What about copyright?
Is that even allowed? Of course, an official brand like Lego cannot easily be turned into a mod. Creator macio6 shows that the small Lego logos are currently still on the bricks, but he will remove them for the release to avoid copyright problems.
