Microsoft’s latest Xbox Insider patch notes highlighted a very welcome change to how subscriptions are handled on Xbox.

Currently available to Alpha Ring Xbox Insiders, users can now fully access and edit their subscriptions directly from Xbox consoles. Once the feature is moved to the full Xbox Dashboard, all they will be able to change their subscription plans from the Xbox console settings.

This includes canceling services such as Xbox Game Pass or Xbox Live Gold, as well as the ability to turn off recurring billing if that option was selected first. For quite some time now, users have had to make these kinds of changes by logging into their Microsoft accounts in a web browser.

This is a very welcome change to how the Xbox account system works – you should still be able to cancel from the console if you can purchase services from there in the first place! The feature is available now to Alpha Ring Xbox Insiders, with a full Xbox release coming soon.

About Ben Kerry

i am kerry

Ben is a fan of action, racing, and direct fire in every video game he can get his hands on. When he’s not playing, Ben spends his time listening to too many Guns N’ Roses, watching football, and probably eating somewhere.
