Generally considered one of the most powerful mutants on the planet, Storm, real name Ororo Munroe, was orphaned at a young age and taken in by a village priestess on her way to her mother’s home in Kenya. When her village suffered from a drought, Ororo called on the rain to try to help her. Although her mutant weather-manipulating power had negative consequences in other parts of the region, the townspeople worshiped her as a rain goddess.
Years later, when news of her ability to control time spread, Charles Xavier recruited Ororo to join the X-Men, and she adopted the name Storm. Afterwards, he led the X-Men, using his mutant abilities to help people around the world. While searching for a missing mutant child in New York with Wolverine, Storm meets Magik, who encourages her to join the Midnight Suns in blood storm.
