This week’s Nintendo Direct did not disappoint its fans and featured content for many different new and existing games. During the transmission, the first look was given to wave 4 of tracks from the Mario Kart 8: Deluxe Course Pass Boosterin addition to confirming that the game will receive characters Downloadable contentStarting with Bird.
Last year we saw the launch of the Booster Course Pass and throughout 2022 we saw the arrival of 6 new cups in Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, divided into 3 waves. It has already been confirmed that the fourth wave will arrive in the spring of 2023, it will add Birdo for free and have two more cuts, one of which has a track inspired by Yoshi’s Island.
In yesterday’s Nintendo Direct trailer, we got our first look at the Yoshi’s Island track, which will feature a new take on the athletic theme from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island. Also shown was the return of Birdo, who was originally a sidekick from Mario Kart: Double Dash and this time he does it with color variants, along with Yoshi and Shy Guy.
Although only one track from the fourth wave of the Booster Course Pass for Mario Kart 8: Deluxe has been announced, this one looks great and is completely original, being the second completely new one that will come to the game as part of its extension . Don’t forget that the Yoshi’s Island track will arrive along with seven more, so we just have to wait for Nintendo to announce which ones.
You can see what content will be coming to the Booster Course Pass with its wave 4 in the Mario Kart 8: Deluxe trailer you find above, which will arrive in Spring 2023. Mario Kart 8: Deluxe is still the best- seller of the Nintendo Switch, so it’s nice to see the big N thinking about more content for its DLC in addition to new tracks.
