The roguelike-metroidvania-like game dead cells has finally confirmed the release date of its next DLC, Back to Castlevania.

The crossover with Konami’s iconic series was announced late last year, it would be the last major DLC for Dead Cells, but it probably won’t be the last.

Released in 2018, Dead Cells quickly became one of the biggest hits in indie gaming. At the time of its release, the game was critically acclaimed and sold over 5 million copies worldwide.

The game has released several DLCs and revealed a Dead Cells roadmap for 2022, indicating that the game isn’t going away anytime soon. Now fans finally know when their latest content will be released.

Late last year, it was officially revealed that Dead Cells would crossover with the Castlevania franchise. A teaser for the downloadable content, titled Return To Castlevania, was released in January, giving players a taste of what was to come.

Now, during the Nintendo Direct, a new trailer and DLC release date have been revealed. The trailer features a series of homages to the original franchise, with music and level designs that feel like they’re pulled straight from classic installments of the series. Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania will be released on March 6..
