Mario Kart 8 Deluxe introduced some balancing changes for version 2.3.0 and we now have details on the differences. The information was collected by the mario kart blog and shared by Reddit user Master_Tweester.

Nintendo’s patch notes stated that version 2.3.0 “improves the performance of certain character and vehicle customizations”. However, it turns out that things go beyond that.

It turns out that almost all drivers saw their land, water, air, and anti-gravity speed stats increase by a value of 0.25 (1 point). The exceptions to this rule are Metal Mario, Gold Mario, Pink Gold Peach, Waluigi, Donkey Kong, Roy, Wario, Dry Bowser, Bowser, Morton, and the Big Mii.

Another thing that has changed for balance with the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe update is that a character group’s mini-turbo stats have increased by a value of 0.25 (1 point). This applies to Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Dry Bones, Small Mii, Toad, Shy Guy, Larry, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, Mario, Ludwig, Medium Mii, Luigi, and Iggy.

Then all vehicle bodies except Pipe Frame, Varmint, City Tripper, Biddybuggy, Mr. Scooty, Landship, Streetle, Standard Bike, Flame Rider, Wild Wiggler and W 25 Silver Arrow get their mini-turbo stat increased by one. by 0.25 (1 point).

The last adjustments concern the tires. All tires other than the Roller, Azure Roller, Button, and Leaf tires have their mini-turbo stat increased by a value of 0.25 (1 point).

The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe version 2.3.0 update was released earlier this week and brings support for the Wave 4 Booster Course Pass DLC. It also includes a few other things – find the patch notes. here.
