In December last year, MOB games (now MOB Entertainment) launched Project: Playtime, the multiplayer spin-off of the acclaimed horror franchise Poppy Playtime. In this title, six players try to create a giant toy while surviving a terrifying monster that roams the toy factory. A seventh player controls the monster and has only one goal: to find and kill all the others.

At first glance, it may seem to us that the game does not bring us anything else in the universe of this terrifying toy factory, just a game to play together. But the reality is different. Project Playtime has solved many doubts presented in the two previous chapters and also serves as a small preview of what we find in the soon to be released Chapters 3.
To put you in some context, the Poppy Playtime franchise revolves around a puzzle/horror adventure, where you have to survive vengeful toys, in an abandoned factory. These were created through different experiences.

In Project Playtime, we are chronologically located at a time when the factory was still in operation. Prior to the game’s release, we were introduced Stoll Rowana former company worker, criticizing and explaining all the atrocities committed at Playtime Co. and his plan to liberate the experiences. And he did, before being eaten by Boxy Boo. What caused, this experiment 1006 will be released and take control of the dolls. They invaded the factory, trying to control it completely.

One of the game’s biggest reveals comes to us at the start, in VHS form (obviously), titled ‘Can you hear us? Can you see this?’ Here we meet a new factory employee, Harley Sawyer, where he exposes and criticizes the great failure of PlayTime and its experiments. Even if he thinks he has a solution, put in place a new strategy, called large bodies. This strategy was to create toys to replace human workers. If we think about it coldly, Huggy Wuggy Its main function was plant security and therefore it could be linked to this strategy.

That all changes when, at the end of the film, it’s revealed to us that there might be a secret group of workers trying to stop this measure from going forward. And even the workers who accompany you during the tutorial make you think that they are creations of this strategy.
Moreover, there is a theory that the character that the player manages in the previous chapters can be a factory creation to go on a dangerous mission. It should be noted that the latter is not fully confirmed, but it may make sense.
