In the third movie The ant Manof marvel studioswe’re going to meet an adult version of Cassie Lang, and now, a new video, the actress behind the Marvel character, tells us a little more about what to know about her personal history and relevance.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, released a new video where Catherine Newton talks about the role of Cassie Langthe daughter of Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), and until now audiences only knew Cassie as the girl they saw in 2015’s Ant-Man and 2018’s Ant-Man and the Wasp.

But now, in the third Ant-Man movie, Cassie will be following in her father’s footsteps and donning a superhero costume, and while we don’t know until now whether she’ll be codenamed Stature or Stinger from the tapes comics, Newton shares some new information about his character in a short film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

“Cassie Lang wants to change the world,” Kathryn Newton tells us at the start of the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania video. We can then see her in action against her father’s enemies and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) find themselves in the Quantum Realm. “He likes chaos, he wants to fight and he wants to be in the middle,” he continues. “She’s influenced by these superheroes around her.”

In Avengers: Endgame, we saw how Scott Lang was trapped in the Quantum Realm when Thanos wiped out half the living universe, and when he returned, five years had passed. This meant that when he reunited with his daughter Cassie, she was much older, although all of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s narrative threads have left audiences a little confused as to Cassie’s age in Ant-Man and the Dark. Wasp: Quantumania.

Reed, the film’s director confirms that Cassie will turn 18 in the next film, which reminds us of all the time Scott wasted in the Quantum Realm, Reed detailed how the passage of time and family ties are integral to the following. :

“When Paul and I started the first movie, the question was, will audiences accept Paul Rudd as a superhero? Will people accept Ant-Man, a guy who shrinks and controls ants, as a character? ?… And they did. And it’s really gratifying and I think the public really identifies with Scott Lang because he doesn’t have superpowers, he’s not a super scientist , he’s not a billionaire. He’s just a normal person who gets caught up in these adventures.
