We know that the future of the automobile is electric. Combustion engines are on the way out and major automakers are already committing to making their fleets fully electric within the next ten years, meaning other branches of industry need to follow suit, including including military space.

As reported by Top Gear, the British Army is looking to explore electric vehicle options for the future, starting with some restored Land Rovers, which will see the original car’s diesel engines removed and replaced with an electric powertrain. so that they can be tested against their combustion engine counterparts to see how effective they are in practice.

It should be noted that four Land Rover EVs will be built under a one-year contract for the time being, and they will be tested with a variety of tasks and in a variety of climates and environments.
