When we attended a closed-door presentation of Yu-Gi-Oh! Cross Duel a few days before its launch, the truth is that we found it to be a pretty solid mobile title with a solid IP to back it up, like the series of letters from Konami. However, it seems that the community hasn’t fully supported the game, or that the company has decided to move its resources in another direction, as the official Twitter account didn’t elaborate on this in its last post:
“This service has continued to operate with the support of many customers, but due to various circumstances, we will cancel the service at 2:00 p.m. (JST) on Monday, September 4, 2023. Thank you.”
This means that Cross Duel is stopping two days before its first year of activity, becoming the latest example of short-lived titles for iOS and Android that we have had in recent times, like Apex Legends Mobile o Battlefield Mobile.
