In an update on the Koihime Enbu RyoRaiRai Steam page, developer UNKNOWN GAME has announced that more DLC will be coming to the game. The announcement comes with a long list of character balance and gameplay changes with the game’s version 3.5 update. No date was given for the DLC’s release, but the balance changes went into effect on March 29, 2023.
Characters that changed in the Balance Update are Bacho, Cho’un, Chohi, Choryo, Gakushin, Jyoko, Kakoen, Kakoton, Kannei, Kan’u, Ryofu, Sonken, Sonshoko, and Soso. Individual character changes can be found in the game’s patch notes and include additions, changes, and bug fixes. There are also new low stance techniques for every character in the game.
Koïhime Muso began life as a visual novel franchise in 2008 with female versions of major characters from the Roman of the Magi history. It would go on to spawn a number of sequels and spin-offs, including Koihime Enbu RyoRaiRai. itself is a fighting game with characters from the original visual novel. Originally an arcade game. RyoRaiRai was released on PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam in 2018. The game has had several updates since its release, adding new characters and balance changes.
