Looks like a while has passed since the last land sale for The Sandbox. But now they’re back, with the first new lands available in 2023! And while the Sandbox ecosystem is still in its infancy, plots of land become more and more valuable as the space grows. It won’t be long before the whole land is completely sold!
This “Voxel Madness” land sale follows the new Sandbox donation system. Players must have an account with a verified identity (KYC). Then, to participate in the raffle, the account must have 1,011 SAND tokens in their connected wallet (4,683 if you want to contract Premium land), which is the price of one plot. Players with enough chips can participate in both draws.
Entries for the raffle open on February 14 at 3:00 p.m. UTC and will remain open until February 20 at 3:00 a.m. UTC. The results will be announced on February 21 at 11 a.m. UTC and the sale will open an hour later. Interested participants can register at
Registration for the raffle entitles you to a raffle ticket. Additionally, those who reached level 5 or higher in previous alpha seasons receive bonus tickets.
Voxel Madness Land Sale
The winners of the draw have 24 hours to buy their land. All purchases will be made on the Polygon blockchain and will use SAND tokens as payment currency. All unpurchased parcels will be auctioned on Open Sea. When players win a raffle ticket and purchase a package, they receive a random selection from those available for sale.
And while this raffle system may annoy some people, trust me, it’s far better than the frantic gas wars of the past that often resulted in many people spending money on transactions only to find out the package had already been purchased!
This sale offers 385 regular lots and 45 premium tickets. In addition to the raffle, 34 lots and 12 properties will be auctioned at Mar Abierto on February 21. Each of the Premium Lands includes an NFT Pack for use in The Sandbox of Vendor Partners. This sale features parcels close to partners like Invincible, Voxies, Cut the Rope, Dungeon Siege and many more!

Sandbox plots of land offer their owners a number of advantages. Landowners can join a limited SAND participation pool, gain access to special events and early access to new features, and will receive Gem and Catalyst airdrops sometime in 2023. Gems and catalysts will be used to upgrade items in The Sandbox.
But the real reason for owning land in The Sandbox is to create your own game or social experience. This includes art galleries, music clubs, hangouts, and anything you can imagine and build. Eventually, landowners will even be able to monetize their experiences. Sandbox offers VoxEdit, a tool for creating and animating game assets, and Game Maker, a software application for creating, designing, and publishing your own Sandbox experience. Both are free and receive regular updates with new features.
These land sales will end at some point. It seems that about 2/3 of all the plots of land that will ever exist in The Sandbox have already been sold. Many of them have well-known names and brands. The current minimum price for a standard size plot in The Sandbox is 0.8 ETH on the secondary markets!
