Wargroove 2 seems like the perfect solution for endlessly patient Advance Wars fans.

The Chucklefish strategy sequel was announced today March 8 and was revealed to be in development for PC and Nintendo Switch. Wargroove 2 is worth a look for strategy fans, especially if they’re craving that long-gestating Advance Wars collection.

Advance Wars 1+2: ReBoot Camp is finally coming to Nintendo Switch on April 21, after a long delay from last year. Fans of the beloved strategy series have been waiting for remakes for some time, so news of Wargroove’s sequel just might be music to your ears.

However, the Advance Wars Collection will definitely release before Wargroove 2. The recently revealed sequel doesn’t have a release date yet, so we could be waiting quite a while until it’s here on PC or Nintendo Switch. Still, at least Advance Wars fans can rest easy knowing they have another great strategy game on the horizon.

The original Wargroove rose to popularity a few years ago on Switch, not just because of its flashy art style. The turn-based tactical combatant had players commanding armies of creatures around a miniature battlefield, dishing out blows between units in battle that were both fun and challenging.

In fact, Wargroove 2 might be one for those fresh out of Fire Emblem: Engage. The latest entry in Nintendo’s long-running strategy series just arrived earlier this year in February, and while Fire Emblem games are trending, there’s no doubt that those already looking for a new strategic challenge. If that’s you, look no further than Wargroove 2.
