He Yakuza The series is no stranger to wildly bizarre side stories, and Like a Dragon: Ishin It’s no different, we’ve seen people wearing diapers. The Obatarian completely defeated Goro, the same Mad Dog, Majima. However, even with all this, I really did not expect to see a Like a Dragon: Ishin Side story of the brothel of sumo wrestlers.

If you haven’t encountered this one yet, chances are you haven’t spent much time in Gion. After advancing through the story, you open up this neighborhood with more adult activities. Ryoma ended up there on work-related matters, and I thought taking the palanquin back to Fushimi quickly was worth it. However, as I was walking there, a man stopped me.
He explained that he had just opened a new brothel which has yet to attract much attention. Like a Yakuza veteran of the series, I know not to turn down any side story opportunity, and I opted for any Like a Dragon: Ishin the one I can out of curiosity. She had avoided all courtesan activities before this, but she had to see if there was a twist.
Boy, I was there.
To the credit of this basement, it commits to biting. Ryoma is taken to a brothel! The owner asks what kind of person his type would be. You can choose “someone diligent and tireless”, “someone skilled in giving pleasure”, or “someone with a perfect body”. It is only after making this decision that this happens.
The sumo wrestler appears.
Depending on your answer, you will see one of three sumos appear. The owner is still 100% committed. Whichever answer you choose will confirm how exceptional this particular sumo is. Which, in a way, is touching. He totally believes in his employees. He also acknowledges his worth and says that Ryoma must pay 10 ryo.
Of course you disagree with that. It’s crazy. Which means that the three sumos of the Like a Dragon: Ishin damn sumo came to try to beat up Ryoma.
Winning honestly ends up being quite emotional. The owner still believes in his private escorts, but promises to be more honest about the type of brothel he runs. People who would like to spend an evening with a sumo wrestler are not doomed. The owner admits his own mistake in the misunderstanding. You also get 3 ryo which is always appreciated.
He Like a Dragon: Ishin The soft and supple subfloor really sums up the extremes that Yakuza the series can hit. You can approach really unexpected concepts and tastes, but do so in a way that doesn’t end up coming across as objectionable or offensive. It’s deliciously silly, and I’m grateful he can still hold that tone after all these years.
