HoYoVerso Announcement which will recast Tighnari’s English voice in Genshin Impact. This news follows allegations against his original voice actor, Elliot Gindi, for sexual misconduct towards fans. Most of those he has harassed are minors. Gindi admitted his behavior, with many Impacto Genshin cast by reporting it online. More information on the new voice actor will emerge once HoYoVerse finds a replacement.
Not only will Tighnari’s new voice actor voice him in all future content, but HoYoVerse also plans to slowly replace all of his in-game voice lines. associates to find a new actor and record everything. The re-recorded lines will be rolled out gradually in subsequent updates, and HoYoVerse will keep fans informed of progress.
Elliot Gindi isn’t the first voice actor HoYoVerse has had to replace due to bad behavior in real life. Li Yuantao, who plays Oz in the Chinese version of the game, committed adultery and had sex with fans. HoYoVerse replaced it, with Fischl disappearing from in-game content for a time during the revamp period. For this reason, Tighnari may not be a prominent character in events or story while the HoYoVerse resolves the redesign issue with Gindi.
