Specializations in Diablo IV allow players to earn additional passives for the class of their choice. These passives can potentially change how players approach combat, with some of these abilities adding combo points to base abilities. Or even go so far as to provide unlimited power for brief periods of time when certain conditions are met. This is something players will want to unlock immediately when they get the chance.
Players can unlock specializations in Diablo IV from level 15. Once you reach level 15, go to the character screen and access the new specializations menu. Select the first specialization to track the corresponding quest on your quest tracker located on the right side of the screen. After completing this quest, you will receive specializations by reaching specific levels.
This includes:
- First Specialization – Level 15
- Second Specialization – Level 20
- Third Specialization – Level 30
Each specialization will be different depending on the class. Additionally, each mission is also unique, providing a bit of backstory for each of the individual classes. However, once you’ve unlocked your specializations, keep in mind that you can only have one active at a time. That being said, you can freely switch between any of the three. Which means you don’t have to stick to a specialization you like or dislike using.
Diablo IV will launch on June 6, 2023 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC, and its Early Access Beta Weekend will run from March 17-20, 2023. The Open Beta will run from March 24-27, 2023.
