You can make many friends as you live your life in Disney Dreamlight Valley and learn more about the power of The Forgetting. Olaf, the adorable snowman created by Elsa, was added in update 3. He is locked up and was unfortunately abandoned during a game of hide and seek. It’s time to free this clumsy little character and let him live in the valley again. This guide will show you how to unlock Olaf in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Where to find Olaf in Disney Dreamlight Valley
After downloading the Friendship Festival update, you will immediately see a scene showing a blizzard invading the Frosted Heights valley region. Speak to Merlin and he will tell you to inquire immediately. Head to Frosted Heights and check the wall in the back right corner of the area. Here you will find a new door with strange symbols.

Interact with the door and you’ll get a cutscene showing it opening to reveal Olaf sitting inside the cave. He will fight sinister squirrels. You found Olaf after a long game of hide-and-seek, but now he’s missing his carrot buttons, arms, and nose (you can’t use one of the carrots you’ve grown or purchased to replace him). Chase the squirrels in Frosted Heights and interact with them to collect their buttons and noses.

Once these coins are returned, you will need to go talk to Elsa. During the chat, she will tell you to use your shower at the pillar in Frosted Heights. Do what Elsa says, then talk to her again. Go back to Olaf and use the watering can on the different bright areas of the room. You’ll get short cutscenes that show your character throwing the orb into the portal with Olaf’s arms.

After viewing these memories, collect the items that Olaf tells you about and you will find that you need to create a Dream Prism of Light. Gather the following materials for this:
- 5 Purified Night Shards
- 10 glass
- 3 broken prism
After collecting the items, craft the Dreamlight Prism and place it on the pedestal in the safe. Once done, you will need three gems to add to the empty pillars. Obtain the following gems:
Place the gems on the pedestals and you’ll get a scene where the portal opens.

Reach the portal and collect the orb with Olaf’s arms. Complete the quest by placing the orb on the pillar and talking to Olaf. Your friendship level will immediately rise to level two and be unlocked. Unfortunately, Olaf doesn’t have a house in the snow.
