Paranormasight unfolds its thread through the points of view of three protagonists: Tetsuo, Harue and Yakko. However, during the Harue chapter, you unlock a fourth route titled “Darkness”, which introduces another new playable character. Unfortunately for our new protagonist, his story begins in a mysterious dark room. Who is she, where is she and how can she get out? Read some minor spoilers below on how to complete the Darkness chapter in Paranormasight and get the Mayu’s Escape achievement.
While this guide doesn’t touch on anything plot-wise, it obviously contains some spoilers for the paranormavista Chapter of Darkness. Read below at your own risk.
As soon as you wake up, you no longer know who you are or where you are. He only has the memory of a man talking to him, and when the prompts appear, he can tap Yoshimi or Hajime. but it’s not are name. The first thing to do is to discover your identity.
There’s a mirror in the room, but it’s so dirty you can’t see your reflection. If you look around the room, there is a soap container on the steel shelf. Grab it. Soap alone can’t do anything, so you have to find something to use it on. Check the lockers and open the left one. you will grab a mop that you can wet with the soap.
Now that you can clean the mirror, do it. After seeing his face, which should look familiar to you, you need to grab this paranormavista Character name: Mayu Chozawa. You can use your first or last name. Once Mayu remembers who she is, you can use the soapy mop to turn on the lights yourself. Pick up the cursed stone from the ground, then there will be a cutscene where you learn the circumstances of Mayu’s capture. During his flashback, he overhears his captor mentioning that the password for the combination lock on the cabinet is from the same year that Hihaku Soaps was founded. If you check your records, you can see that Hihaku Soaps was founded in 1946.
Inside the cabinet is a fax machine. Fantastic! Now you can call for help as long as you have a pen and a phone number. There is a pen on the desk, but the nib is dry. You also cannot find a phone number in this room. You therefore have no choice but to suspend your investigation.
The phone number should be fairly easy to get. Enter “Too Much to Handle” on Harue Rd and go to Shigima Residence. She has a fax machine in her reception room. Click on it and it will suddenly say your phone number out loud, much to Richter’s dismay.
With the phone number in hand, go to the “Waiting” chapter on Tetsuo’s route. He stands in front of Komagata High School with Erio. If you talk to Erio, he will ask you about his next course of action. Talk to him again and Tetsuo will ask you about the pens. Erio will then tell you that you can fix a dry pen tip with nail polish remover. You now have everything you need to escape, so go back to the “Darkness” chapter.
You can find nail polish remover in the stack of cardboard boxes near the switchboard. Open your items menu, then use it; you will automatically clean the pen tip. Next, examine the fax machine and the phone number for Shigima Residence will be telepathically transmitted to you. As for your location, you unlock Mayu’s route after Harue sees the echo of her curse on the Ho’onji Bridge. This is where her captors hold her.
Now that you’ve called for help and given them your location, all you have to do is wait for your rescue. Return to “Too Much to Handle” on Harue Road and proceed to Shigima Residence. She will receive the fax and together with Richter, she will come to your rescue. Completing this “Darkness” chapter will grant you the Mayu’s Escape achievement on the Steam version of paranormavista.
