Hook Light Attacks
Let’s start with light grappling attacks. To begin the process of performing a grapple light attack in WWE 2K23, grab the opponent. This can be done by pressing B (for Xbox consoles) or Circle (for PlayStation consoles).
Once done, press X (for Xbox) or Square (for PlayStation) to perform the attack maneuver.
Grapple Heavy Attacks
To perform a Grapple Heavy Attack in WWE 2K23, start by pressing B (for Xbox) or Circle (for PlayStation), depending on which console or controller you’re using. Then press A (for Xbox) or X (for PlayStation) to perform the heavy attack.
So, to repeat, here are the controls for light and heavy attacks:
- Luz: B/Circle + X/Square
- Heavy: B/Circle + A/X
Note that there are forward and backward heavy attack variants of these moves in WWE 2K23. Frontal attacks involve grabbing the fighter as you stand in front of them. Rear attacks, on the other hand, require the user to grab a fighter from behind.
One thing we keep in mind is that light and heavy attacks are very important in terms of progress in John Cena 2K Showcase. Some of the 2K Showcase matches require the use of a light or heavy grappling attack to complete an objective. So be sure to master these mechanics.
