Treasure chests are simple caves in the open world area of Hogwarts Legacy where players usually have to solve a puzzle to enter an underground area and get some good loot. Although most of the time these puzzles are quite simple, if you are having trouble with Hogwarts Legacy treasure chests in Lower Hogsfield, let us provide you with puzzle solutions.
Opening Hogwarts Legacy Hogsfield Lower Treasure Chests
So far we have discovered two vaults in the vicinity of the village of Lower Hogsfield in Hogwarts Legacy. At the entrance to each vault, there is a puzzle that players must solve. Once the puzzle is solved, the door will open and players will be able to enter the vault.
If you use Revelio at the vault entrance, you’ll probably end up finding cheats for opening safes. A careful look at your surroundings should also give you some clues. However, if you just want to speed it all up and quickly solve those particular Hogwarts Legacy Treasure Vault puzzles and grab the loot inside, don’t worry.
Lower Hogsfield Treasure Chest #1
Exit the south side of Hogwarts and follow the path to reach this treasure chest. Players after arriving will see a large circle symbol and a box placed on the ground. Here players can use Wingardium Leviosa to lift the box or use Accio to pull it towards them once they are on the large circular pedestal.
This will already complete half of your work. As you may have noticed, there was a flame symbol in the circle, meaning you need fire here. Just use Fire on the box you just placed in the circle to open the door.
Once the door opens, enter the cave and continue until you reach the treasure chest. There are no enemies waiting for you here, so you are free to loot.
Lower Hogsfield Treasure Chest #2
Once you’re done with the first safe, continue south again and pass the village of Lower Hogsfield where you met Nora and discovered the Trials of Merlin. You’ll see another treasure chest further south, as shown on the map.
After reaching the location, players must use Revelio to locate it. Revelio will reveal one of those big hook blocks that can be thrown with Accio to the left of the vault entrance, hidden behind some bushes.
Players here need to use Accio to pull this hook towards them. This will open the entrance to the treasure chest. Enter the cave and use Lumos to light up the area.
You should see a box on top of a statue to the right as you enter the burial chamber. Pick it up with Wingardium Leviosa or Accio and when the box gets close to the ground you will see the ground move like a wave. Put the box on the ground and walk towards the grave.
Now pull the box towards you so that it is close to the grave and the ground is away from the box to reveal the treasure chest.
