The possibilities are endless with the many things you can do in Minecraft, and the Slow Falling Potion is one of those things. As the name of the potion suggests, it will make you fall slower from higher heights. It may seem like a simple effect, but it will be much more useful to you than you think. Below is how to make a slow potion in Minecraft.

To craft the Slow Falling Potion, you need to collect three items: the Nether Wart, the Water Bottle, and the Ghost Membrane. Once you have the ingredients, add Blaze Powder to your brewing medium. Fill the top with Nether Wart and the bottom with water bottles. Wait for the infusion to finish and a clumsy potion will be created.

Use the stand again to place the Ghost Membrane on top and the Clumsy Potion on the bottom. We recommend making three potions at the same time for more efficiency. Once you’ve finished brewing, you’ll get your slow-falling potion. The potion only lasts 1 minute and 30 seconds, which isn’t much, especially compared to most other potions.

How to brew an extended slow fall potion

However, you can overcome this by increasing the potion’s time. For this you will need Redstone. To brew the Extended Potion, go to the Brewing Station and place the Red Stone on top and the Slow Falling Potion on the bottom. Once the preparation is complete, you will have the potion which lasts 4 minutes.

You can use the slow drip potion to fight the dragon because it throws at you a lot during the fight, so this potion will be of great help to you. You can also use it to lower the Obsidian Pillars, which are very tall and will kill you if you fall. You take no fall damage while this potion is active.
