The Trial of Percival Rackham is a main quest in Hogwart’s Legacy. After meeting Professor Fig in the tower beyond the Forbidden Forest, you learn that the tower is infested with goblins. That’s bad news, but luckily you and Professor Fig are talented wizards, and those goblins shouldn’t be a match for you if you cast your spells wisely. However, finding what you’re looking for in the goblin camp can be a bit trickier.

How to Cast Petrificus Totalus and Defeat Goblins

As you get closer to the tower, cast Disillusion on yourself, then sneak into the goblin camp. Most goblins are spaced out from each other and have their backs to you, so it’s pretty easy to sneak up on them. To cast Petrificus Totalus, simply sneak up behind them while disillusioned and press Square/X. Petrificus Totalus does not appear on your spell list like other spells. It’s more like a family sneak death. It’s best to start from the right and work your way right to left through the camp.
How to Investigate the Goblin Presence

After defeating all of the goblins, your objective will still be to investigate the presence of the goblins, but what that means is unclear. If you stand in the middle of the camp and cast Revelio, you will see some chests and bags, but none of them are the target of your quest. The item you are looking for is actually a note, but it is quite small and hidden. Find him inside the large tent on the southeast side of the camp. After collecting the note and leaving the shop, more goblins will appear. You can’t sneak up on them, but once you defeat them, you’ll have managed to investigate the presence of goblins.
