The world of Elden Ring is huge. It’s extremely easy to get lost, and the game encourages exploration to discover paths thought to be blocked or new areas to unpack. Fortunately, the game offers you a large number of resting points for quick travel, known as Sites of Grace. These allow you to easily travel through The Lands Between. One of these places, the cliffs overlooking the lake, seems like a perilous journey with no easy way to get there, but it’s actually quite easy to find if you know where to go. Let’s discuss the fastest way to access the cliffs overlooking the lake and its site of grace.
Where are the cliffs facing the lake in Elden Ring?
The most direct way to access the cliffs overlooking the lake is to find or teleport to the Stormhill Shack Grace Site. This is an early location that you should have no problem getting to directly from the starting area. It is slightly north of the game’s opening location.

Grace’s site of the cliffs overlooking the lake is northwest of Stormhill Shack, but that pesky castle blocks the way. You won’t be able to reach the location if you head east. In fact, you’ll likely be killed by castle ballistae if you’re still a novice adventurer.

Instead, you want to head straight north from the Stormhill Shack location. On the map you can see a broken bridge next to a cliff. Head to the bridge and past the merchant. When you get to the edge where it ends, immediately look to your left and slightly down. In fact, there is a path here that goes up the mountain and goes around the castle. Jump on it and move forward following the curve to the left then to the right.
You’ll want to follow this trail northwest as it increases in elevation, hiking the few switchbacks as you go. Watch out for wolves on the way. They patrol this area. The path will eventually peak and curve to the left. This is your final destination.

You should now see a swirling Sitio de Gracia just ahead and to the right of the road where the trail opens. You have now successfully navigated to the cliffs overlooking the lake and your Site of Grace. Rest in the light and take comfort in the knowledge that you can now return to this place at any time.
