If you are looking for an inexpensive but effective weapon for Cyno in Genshin Impact, an ideal choice is definitely White Tassel, a three-star polearm that boosts CRIT rate and normal attack DMG. Akademiya General Mahamatra serves up a solid primary DPS unit, with much of his damage coming from base hits during his raging elemental burst. So while White Tassel might be considered nothing more than free weapon upgrade material for most players, those who own Cyno but can’t afford his Staff of the Scarlet Sands will be pleased with the results that this polearm can offer three stars.

Like many other three-star weapons in Genshin Impact, it’s not easy to know where we found weapons like White Tassel. Fortunately, the description of the weapon in the Equipment section of the Archive provides the answer to its origin. According to Polearm’s description, the White Tassel is a “standard weapon of the soldiers of Millelith”. If you’ve played Archon Quests, you’ll quickly recognize Millelith as the infantry of the Liyue region. Similarly, White Tassel is a weapon you can get by looting random chests found in Liyue.
Unfortunately, just because White Tassel is a common three-star polearm doesn’t mean it’s easy to get if you don’t have it in your inventory in Genshin Impact. For example, our weapon pool is full of black acorns, because we spend all of our white acorns and other low-level weapons to upgrade Dehya’s Greatsword. However, after looting chests in Liyue for over half an hour, we couldn’t find one, despite the abundance we had before consuming them all. In other words, we strongly recommend that you avoid spending your white acorns on upgrades, as there is no guarantee that you will find the polearm for Cyno when exploring Liyue.
