Some mounts in Final Fantasy XIV have a lot of prestige compared to others. These rides tend to require a lot of skill or time, or are simply very expensive on the Market Board due to their rarity. Deep dungeon mounts tend to fall into this category as they are acquired infrequently and require patience to obtain. Patch 6.35 brings players a new deep dungeon called Eureka Orthos, and with it comes the biggest crab to ever crawl through Eorzea. The mount is called Orthos Craklaw, and that’s all you know to add it to your collection in Final Fantasy XIV.

Where to find the Orthos Craklaw horn in FFXIV

While exploring the halls of the deep dungeon of Eureka Orthos, you will sometimes find a treasure hidden in the ground called the Cursed Treasure. Leaving them untouched after looting them will grant you bags of varying quality depending on how deep you go.

The Orthos Crakraw Horn is an extremely rare drop that looks like only bags dyed with gold. Gold Dyed Bags are dropped on any Cursed Treasure you find from floors 71-100 in Eureka Orthos, as long as you have a successful run.

To open them, you need to talk to the NPC Valeroine just outside the Crystal Tower entrance, where you queue for Eureka Orthos. Its coordinates are (X:35.0, Y:19.2). Eureka Orthos bags can hold a multitude of different items, so you will often get other rewards in your routine to get the Orthos Craklaw.

Where to Buy the Orthos Craklaw Mount in FFXIV

If you’re extremely impatient or don’t want to deal with the ridiculously difficult floors of Eureka Orthos, you’ll be happy to know that the Orthos Craklaw mount can be traded and sold on the Market Board. However, this item will likely break your bank due to its rarity and demand.

The Orthos Craklaw Horn is just as rare as the previous two deep dungeon mounts. The Pegasus Horn of Night and the Horn of Dodo are items that can be contained in similar loot bags from the deep dungeons of the Palace of the Dead and Sky Above, but still cost an obscene amount of gil on the dashboard. Market due to scarcity of rewards.
