How to Get the Cloudstrike Exotic Sniper Rifle

Getting the Cloudstrike Exotic Sniper Rifle is a bit of a hassle, but it’s worth it. Before you can get close, you need to unlock Empire Hunts. This happens after you complete the Beyond Light campaign, at which point you can take on missions for Exo Stranger and Variks. Complete all of these missions and you can play the Variks Sabotage missions.

Your next step is to leave and complete the Europa Explorer I and II missions. These require you to kill a lot of enemies and then you will have to face an Empire Hunt to kill the powerful enemies needed for the different tasks that these missions entail. Bosses spawn endlessly at the end of Empire Hunts. So go to the end of one, then kill strong enemies until you’ve racked up all the kills you need.

Now that both sabotage missions are complete, you’ll get a new activity called Weekly Empire Hunt. These have a chance to drop the Cloudstrike Exotic Sniper Rifle. There are a few different difficulties for Weekly Empire Hutts, but the drop rate is fairly consistent across all of them.

  • Expert – 1180 Power – Uncommon
  • hero – 1220 Power – Uncommon
  • Legend – 1250 Power – Uncommon
  • Maestro – 1280 Power – Uncommon

Be sure to run each weekly Empire Hunt at the correct power level. Otherwise, you will find yourself stuck at the beginning, unable to complete them. The Cloudstrike Exotic Sniper Rifle deals ground-affecting arc damage when you kill an enemy or when you fire three precision shots in a row. These deal area of effect damage, meaning you can quickly take out enemies in areas in front of you if you’re quick. Perfect for raids with long encounters.
