At Hogwarts Legacy, the Library is, unsurprisingly, the main room in the Library Annex which is part of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. As expected, there are many books in the library, some of which fly by themselves. But there’s also a fireplace that keeps students and librarians warm while they read and study, and if you’ve searched the library thoroughly and used your Revelio spell, you might have noticed there’s a large loot chest behind the fireplace. . But this fire never goes out, so how do you get into the room behind?

How to Get the Library Chimney Chest in Hogwarts Legacy

You have no chance of getting the Library Chimney Chest until you complete Madame Kogawa’s Mission 1, in which you have to fly on your broomstick popping balloons floating above Hogsmeade Station and above the Hogwarts Quidditch pitch. To start Madame Kogawa’s Assignment 1, you must have purchased your own broom from Spintwitches Sporting Needs in Hogsmeade, reached at least level 5 XP, and completed The Map Chamber main story quest. Complete Madame Kogawa’s Mission 1 and she will teach you the Glacius spell, which means you now have the magic power to reach the library fireplace chest.

Once you learn the Glacius spell, assign it to one of your spell sets and head to the library. Give this fireplace a blast of Glacius and the fire will be extinguished. Now move towards the chimney and you will automatically crouch to cross it. The loot inside the chest is a randomly generated piece of gear. We have blue sun protection glasses, which offer solid defense and make a bold fashion statement, but you could get something different.
