Where to find Silk Thread in Wild Hearts
Like Mirror Stone and Pointed Scale, Silken Thread is located in the autumn-inspired region to the west called Akikure Canyon. This place is as deadly as it is beautiful, and some of the game’s rare minerals and ores are here. Silken Thread can be found in Harvest Canyon or Akikure Canyon. These regions are the same, as their names will change depending on which story chapter you are in. Once you gain access to this region, head there to begin your Silken Thread quest. Silk thread is a hardened plant-like material that grows on the surface around this region. It can be found in every section of this massive location, including the main road outside the starter camp. These shoots only grow from the ground and are not found on rooftops or cliffs, making them easy to spot.
Unlike other rare materials and minerals in this region, Silken Thread is exclusively used to craft and build high-level armor sets that you get by hunting Mighty Kemono. These enemies can be found starting in Chapter 3 and are more difficult and aggressive than the standard Kemono they come from.
Be sure to get to this area quickly to farm these materials as quickly as possible. Silk Thread can be sold for a high price in the market, but we suggest saving them for crafting armor.
