Since her release in 2022, Ayaka has long remained one of the best Cryo DPS units for many team compositions, and fans looking to max her out will need to know how to get her Ascension gear. Like any other character, the higher the level reached, the more expensive the required materials will be in quantity and quality. For example, Ayaka only needs one Shivada Jade Sliver, three stacks of Sakura Bloom, and three Old Handguards for her first Ascension. However, the numbers needed for these same materials number in the hundreds when alchemy crafting is taken into account.

What Ascension Materials Are Needed For Ayaka In Genshin Impact

To upgrade to Ayaka in Genshin Impact, you will need Shivada Jade, Sakura Bloom, Nobushi Handguards, Perpetual Hearts, and 420,000 Mora. Jade, Sakura Bloom, and Handguards come with their own variants, depending on what level you’ve reached with Ayaka. For example, Eternal Cores won’t be needed until you reach Ascension Stage 1, and Ancient Handguards will become Kageuchi Handguards after Ascension Stage 2. However, sources for these materials remain constant throughout your Ascensions. Gathering all the materials will take time and dedication; Reaching level 90 can take weeks or months, depending on your availability.

Shivada Jade has four forms: Shards, Shards, Chunks and Gems. Getting Gemstone Ascension materials for Ayaka will take the most time and effort in Genshin Impact. Many bosses drop Shivada Jade across Teyvat, but we think the Cryo Regisvine south of the Temple of the Thousand Winds is the easiest enemy to farm. Using a well-leveled Pryo-focused party, you can take out Cryo Regisvine in under 2 minutes for your Shivada Jade. Remember, you don’t always need to get the highest level of Jade; getting lower level jade at a faster rate is ideal as alchemy crafting is available.

How to get Sakura Bloom for Ayaka in Genshin Impact

There are dozens of Sakura Bloom nodes on Inazuma’s Narukami Island. However, determining the “best” place to grow can be difficult due to the diversity of terrain and the large number of flower petals available. For best results, we recommend using the official Genshin Impact interactive map to locate each Sakura Bloom for Ayaka instead of painstakingly marking them on your map. Our recommended regions for easily accessible farming would be Inazuma Town, Arumi Peninsula, Narukami Grand Shrine, and Chinju Forest. Remember that you must use an electrical ability on a Sakura Bloom node before you can collect it.

How to Get Nobushi Handguards for Ayaka in Genshin Impact

The third ascension gear you will need for Ayaka in Genshin Impact is the Nobushi Handguards in Genshin Impact. This resource has three variants: Old Handguards, Kageuchi Handguards, and Famed Handguards. As the name suggests, Nobushi’s Handguards drop from Nobushi, the hostile ronin that can be found on the Inazuma Islands. Although there are three different variations, they all use the same materials. While there’s nothing wrong with farming the best routes for Nobushi’s Handguards, we highly recommend organically gathering this resource while exploring Inazuma, as an encounter with Nobushi is impossible to miss.

Whether you’re completing Inazuman Daily Quests, completing World Quests, or exploring for fun, collecting Nobushi Handguards for Ayaka in Genshin Impact will be a natural process that won’t require any extra effort. For example, we always cleared Nobushi mobs when going to the Perpetual Mechanical Array portal on Jinren Island. Because this “farming” was done as we walked through the place, it never felt like extra work. Finally, it should be noted that famous handguards are an incredibly rare drop, even at high world levels. Therefore, we recommend focusing on Alchemy crafting instead of worrying about its drop rate.

How to Get Perpetual Hearts for Ayaka in Genshin Impact

The fourth and final Ayaka Ascension material in Genshin Impact is Perpetual Heart, a resource that only drops from the Perpetual Mechanical Matrix. There are two ways to reach this Boss. You can use the portal we mentioned above on Jinren Island where you can find a Thunder Sakura Bough with Electrograna active to send you to the gateway. Alternatively, you can complete “Cleansing Dishonor”, the third part of the “Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual” questline, which unlocks the teleport waypoint under the sea. This waypoint provides direct access to the lair of the Perpetual Mechanical Network. However, as we noted above, the trip through Jinren Island is worth it for the “free” Nobushi Handguards you can farm along the way.

The Perpetual Mechanical Matrix can deal a lot of damage, so you’ll need enough healing and protection to survive, especially at higher levels. We recommend using a Melt Ganyu team comp consisting of Ganyu, Xiangling, Bennett, and Diona. You can swap Diona with Zhongli if you don’t want the Cryo buff for Ganyu. Once defeated, the Boss will drop one or more Eternal Hearts, which you will need as ascension materials for Ayaka in Genshin Impact.
