How to get the gun and ammo in Sons of the Forest
Luckily, the developers were kind enough to make the gun a weapon that isn’t hard to come by. You don’t have to worry about exploring dark caves to acquire it. Instead, you just need to collect it from one place.

To get the gun, head to the west side of the map and keep going until you reach the shore. From there, you need to look out into the ocean to find a small orange floating raft.

Swim until you reach the raft and enter. Keep in mind that there will be hungry sharks waiting in the water to bite you, so make sure your health bar is full before swimming. Otherwise, you will be dead in the water. On the ship you will find many items, including the gun. There’s also a GPS locator on the corpse, so be sure to pick that up as well.

Once done, swim to shore, go to your base, and save the game so you don’t lose any of your progress. As for ammo, you can find it as regular loot in different places. However, since ammo is not easy to come by, make sure you don’t waste your bullets. If you encounter a weak enemy, don’t use the gun on them. Instead, save ammo for critical moments.
