There are many creatures you can find in Appalachia in Fallout 76. While most creatures in the game are hostile, there are a few that are friendly or actively trying to avoid you. Rabbits, for example, are one of the few animals in the game that won’t attack you on sight and run away. These animals are hard to find, but are needed to complete some of the game’s challenges. This guide will show you how to find bunnies in Fallout 76.

Rabbit spawn locations in Fallout 76

Thanks to the overwhelming number of larger creatures like wolves and mire that roam the wasteland, it can seem quite difficult to find smaller creatures like rabbits. If you’ve checked the daily challenges, you might have seen one that asks you to chase a rabbit or even take a picture of it. You might have even gone through the entire game without realizing that the Rabbits are in Appalachia and survived the bombings.

Rabbits can be found in a large number of regions around Appalachia, primarily in the forest region. Unfortunately, they don’t appear very often and are hard to spot when they do. Luckily, there are a few areas where you can reliably find bunnies in the desert. Check the following areas for rabbits:

  • Compléjo Whitespring – A rabbit can be reliably found in the wooded area near the service entrance.
  • Wendigo Cave – A Rabbit can be found between Wendigo Cave and Central Mountain Lookout.

Outside of these areas, there are events where bunnies spawn normally. One such event is Graham’s Meat Cook. This event will have you hunting various animals and collecting their meat. There are also bunnies that will appear during the Fastnacht Day event. Remember to keep your eyes on the ground and be extra careful. Rabbits are very small and can easily be missed if you are not careful.
